Today is being billed as the saddest day of the year, although, depending on who you talk to, some think January 24th is the saddest day. No matter which day you want to tag as the saddest, we at Bella Ink say you should fight back with Sparkle & Shine!
Here are some ideas for making the rest of the winter bearable. Remember, it's often the little things that count:
1. Take a vacation to a sunny locale (If you can't afford to travel, rent movies that take place in your dream destination and get cozy for an afternoon. Invite friends to the viewing and serve up some tropical cocktails.)
2. Purchase a Sunbox
3. Paint your toes a bright color
4. Work out to boost your endorphins (If the thought of a gym just makes you down about resolutions already tanking, get some friends together and find a bar that offers free salsa or line dance lessons before the night really gets going.)
5. Eat Salmon (Omega 3s may boost your mood.)
6. Put on a SMILE! It's hard to stay mad or bummed out if you're grinning. If you need help doing that, head to a comedy club.
7. Keep busy. Get involved with a volunteer group. Redecorate. Helm a new project at work. Learn a language or new skill. An idle mind gives you too much time to dwell on things that may be bothering you.
