Some people love surprises and others can't stand them. Pregnancy is one of those times in life when a person's feelings about surprises are made crystal clear. Parents either want to know, or don't want to know, their baby's gender. Sometimes the ones who want to know will choose to keep their family and friends in the dark until the baby's arrival. The parent's decision can make life very difficult or very easy for those in charge of throwing the baby shower. Luckily, Bella Ink Designs loves to keep a secret and spread the news far and wide.
The Bella Ink custom invitation album offers baby shower designs in traditional blues and pinks, as well as gender neutral greens, purples and yellows. Invitations from the album are printed on a premium cream felt stock, which enhances their soft color combinations.
Pictured above, left, is a cheerful yellow and white shower invitation featuring Bella Ink's signature young woman in the act of opening a present wrapped in damask. By incorporating a green band, a blue stripe, and a pink, swirling border into the card, Bella Ink has created the perfect invitation for the parents waiting to hear, or announce, whether they're having a boy or a girl. The invitation on the right is finished off in a more traditional blue and brown polka dot print with balloons gently floating off the delicate scrolling frame.

The photo birth announcements in the Bella Ink custom album utilizes the traditional blue and pink color schemes more than the invitations because the baby has been born and everybody is waiting to see him or her for the first time. (Sorry moms, it's not about you anymore) You'll find the colors employed in both sleek, modern designs, like the stripe and diamond pattern on the left, as well as on more classic designs, like the polka dots at the right.
Bella Ink likes to do traditional with a twist, though. While you'll find sweet dots and stripes throughout the album's birth announcement pages, you'll also find tropical florals and patchwork prints that incorporate shades of blue and pink, but mix in plenty of other vibrant colors. These options are a fabulous choice for parents who want to introduce their baby boy or baby girl but not be boxed in by the colors associated with either gender.
